Can someone tell me what I am missing from this article?

To me it comes off as feminism trying to change society.

To me, it is trying to get recognition for women's efforts in the war over there even though they are not in a 1st line type of combat. They still contributed and should be recognized for it.

Myself, I did 3 tours of Viet Nam in the Navy, and I think I got one beer bought for me after I got home. We experienced direct gunfire and mortar shelling when I was over there.

What the women are experiencing is not that unusual as the article was trying to make out. They just need to pull their panties up and be proud that they are a veteran, one that made it back in one piece.

Thx Snapshot - I have never served in the military so I appreciate the input.
