While I totally disagree with Roy's actions, as they were pansyish and pretty low-rent, I did want to point out a couple of things:

1.) Why the hell was the Presbyterian fan yelling for UNC to miss free throws down by 30.. in an opposing arena? The guy was total idiot for doing that. I can't stand opposing fans who do stupid stuff like that. Should he have been booted? Doubtful. Should he have been booted by the head coach of the home team? Absolutely NOT.

2.) What if this situation happened to us? What if Koch got as quiet as ever when it does for free throws and some opposing fan yelled to, let's say, Garrett Sttutz to "not miss the free throw" before he shot? What would you want to happen? Should the guy be tossed, especially if he was in Shocker "family" seats behind the bench? Would you have backed Marshall up if he did what Roy did?

Just playing a bit of devil's advocate here..

Opposing fans do that all the time at CKA Fever. It's a part of the game. And if the fan were in a special family/friends section I'd be more concerned about how they ended up with those tix.

I've been to games for years and years and have yet to hear someone yell "Don't miss it [player's name]" before a free throw. I've heard the screams and boos from opposing fans, but never a "calling out" like that. And certainly have never heard of anything like that from behind the Shocker bench.
