Circle is already under performing. At least the girls are looking good.

Buhler's boys have blown out Salina South (only one returning player) and Maize South. So it's hard to tell how good they'll be. Their best players are juniors and sophomores (mainly the sophomores) so the future certainly looks bright.

The girls only have one senior so I think they will have a down year. They lost to Salina South, then beat Maize South by 30.

I think I officiate in Buhler at some point this season. I played up there once and was very impressed with the gym and the fans. We were treated very well and after the game we got a number of compliments and nice words from the Buhler fans. Think they'll be as nice to me on my return?

Perhaps they will serenade you with a few choruses of "These Refs Suck" ? :)

I may have to threaten Buhler with a T then....

That wouldn't be the worst thing I've heard during a basketball game.

Sub, I would fully expect your professionalism to far exceed certain D-1 refs that we are familiar with!

I suspect they will. The administration has always been adamant about sportsmanship there, especially when it comes to criticizing officials. I think they've relaxed a bit since I went there but it's still pretty good, based on a few games I've attended the past few years. You'll have to let me know when you'll be there. Do you do the varsity games?

I will be doing the varsity game. I'll let you know when I'll be up there. I have the day off and aparently don't have the game written down here at home but I know I have it at work. So I'll get back to ya. I know I have a game with Buhler and am almost positive it is there.

Just for fun I'll yell "I beg to differ!" on a questionable call. ;)
