Intrust Bank Arena Tour and Impression

I got a tour of the outside, well more like a "What do you think you are doing?" escorted tour of the sidewalk (which was in no way blocked by any type of fence, tape, or barrel.
So I walked up St Francis headed back to my car, spied a bar on Douglas between St Francis and Railroad tracks and thought "what a great way to kill time after events rather than sitting in my car burning gasoline."

I am NOT impressed.
Pet Peeve of mine: Did they have the scoreboard in? If so, was it a standard Kochesque board or a "big time" one?Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Denny, here are a few thoughts.
1)I don't know anyone who will want to sit in the upper deck.
2)Did they move the scoreboard from the Kansas Coliseum or my basement?
3)Seriously, I am not a designer, but I think it is going to be a nightmare to get in and out, and that is not because of parking.
4)I bet it would be the crown jewel of, say, a town like Salina.
5)I am not a fancy guy....but it looks cheap as hell to me. Do I have to see the wireless routers in the halls?
To be fair, a few things I liked.
1)The ribbon. I kind of expected to not see one.
2)The area around the bar where you can stand and watch and snack. Nice.
3)Lower level seating will be good and close to the action.
4)I don't know if the average person will ever to get to use the club, box and loge seats, but they are nice and abundant.

I want other opinions....I was under the impression that it was going to be fabulous, and as I said, I am in a foul mood.....
Someone else is going to have to help me out and tell me I am all wet.
The scoreboard at the Chuck is bigger and better.

*&#@ the county.
We spend $220 million on a 15,000 seat arena and we're getting a $20 scoreboard?

WTF?? The scoreboard was supposed to be nice...omg. And yes Ive been begging the thunder people at there forums to share pictures but they said they could not take pictures. I am not surprised it is cheap...dam...totally not surprised.. How is it we have a POS stuff. Now im in a foul mood.
If they had any brains they could have had a company donate the scoreboard for naming rights on it and all over it and during all of the replays. I believe that is how Tulsa's scoreboard is so nice.
What REALLY pisses me off is they had the scoreboard in during the first week of August..I know this to be true..I contacted ANC Sports the supplier of the LED Screens. I have tried to contact SMG multiple times and all I get is no replys and no follow ups. I really think the management of this arena is not nearly as good as Tulsas. Tulsa's arena and management is TOP NOTCH.The mountains are calling, and I must go.
