LJ suspended for 2 weeks.

Darn! I was hoping it would be longer or indefinite. This is only for 1 game because of the bye week.

Hopefully Smith will be ready to go and we can just sit LJ on the bench and wait for him to do something else stupid.

The way Haley is talking, Charles is ready to shoulder a bigger load. We'll see....

I like Charles and would like to see him given more opportunities. Smith is a little more capable of running between the tackles more effectively I think and we'll need someone that can do that to a degree.

As far as I'm concerned it's audition time for these two.

he still wont be in a chief uniform, i think once he comes back, he wont be on the active list on game days. IMO the reason they just didnt release because you would be sending a message to anyone that wants out, all you have to do is pull the stunt that LJ pulled this past week. But yea im ready to see a alot more of Kolby and Jamaal, hell Jamaal has been averaging 5.0 yards a carry, i wanna see more.

the only game Charles has gotten more than 6 carries in a game was the Tampa Bay game last year and he had 18 carries for 106 yards.

On Sunday NFL Countdown, Mort reports, "The union is ready to file another grievance if LJ is not restored to his prior playing status as a starter."

Mort's report begins to add some substance to the folks that are saying LJ will remain a member of the Chiefs. It may be easier for them to just keep him, and avoid any reaction from the NFLPA, than release him and face a fight with the union.

That is a great sign. Too bad LJ will be back with the team. This sign will not help his attitude, though. He will just suppress it for awhile and then let it out again when you think his attitude has improved.
