KC Chiefs - Week 8 Bye Bye

It's not that LJ has the stones to say something. LJ is just stupid enough to always be running his mouth about something and never knowing when to shut up. Again, if he'd shown a desire or some heart the last few years he'd be cut some slack.

Sounds to me like LJ may be voicing what many other players are feeling. It doesn't sound like any of them like playing for Haley at all. LJ clearly went about it the wrong way, but at least he had the stones to stand up and say something.

Maybe Haley has brought all these washed-up former players into Kansas City so they just shut up and play and be glad they got the chance to play.

Losing sucks - can you imagine losing and being constantly berated and unsure of your job status - how much does that suck?

It is time to put the Todd Haley experiment out of its misery.

You cant really judge him by one season when he the group of players he has. Bill Bilichik couldnt win 3 games with this roster, this roster is by far the worst in the NFL, and it took years of Carl Petersons crappy drafting to do that.

I don't think the Chiefs are the worst team in the NFL but they do suck. And Haley hasn't shown me much of anything. I'd hate to fire a guy after one year, but if Cowher would come here I'd be all for sending Haley packing.

Problem is, I dont think Cowher would ever come here with possible job opening like Dallas, Washington, Carolina, and San Diego. Teams that are more ready to win. I think if Cowher leaves his home in Carolina its going to be somewhere that close to playoff contention. If Pioli gives up on Haley after only one season, then we are just going to get another inexperienced coach. We might as well work with him, and hire a new OC.

LJ should not have been back this year, too many times last season on 3rd or 4th and short you saw him just fall down, in the line and not even try. I think he was tanking it and should have been gone. I'm not sure what he's shown in camp or practice to make them continue to feed him the ball (maybe he looks good against our own porous run defense?) but he hasn't shown anything this year.

Question-does this outburst and use of gay slurs fall into the NFL code of conduct-like will he be suspended, and will that help KC cut his sorry butt and not take the full cap hit?

When can Kolby Smith come back? What makes this really sorry is someone on ESPN pointed out how they traded Jared Allen to save money to pay other guys, like LJ. Ugh, how much would we rather be paying Allen right now instead of LJ?

As far as the coach, if Cowher would somehow want to come to KC I would fire Haley and take him. I doubt he will though because I thought he wanted full GM/personnel control and he wouldn't have that with Pioli. If not then I think Haley stays and makes coaching changes. I just don't see a "smart" team out there, from knowing how to read defenses, picking up blitzes, proper blocking techniques, coverage skills, etc. They all appear lacking in KC so I would guess that goes to coaching. Granted they can only work with what they've got-but look at AZ the other night vs NYG, I couldn't name you two guys on their defense but they had an attitude, good blitzing schemes and consistently put pressure on Manning. I don't see anything close to that in KC.

Your point is BS in this case ... Haley came in here saying he could take 11 guys off the street and win 2 games. Haley should STFU and coach - he spends too much time antagonizing players he doesn't like and that can't be good for the team. Even if the Chiefs had a shot at some decent free agents, how many would come play for the organization and this coach right now?

Herm couldn't coach Carl's players (and frankly, Peterson never gave Herm much to work with), but at least it wasn't such a big soap opera every week. Now with 2 weeks to bicker between each other, I expect an implosion coming from KC.

and he will win more than 2 games, and it was Herms idea to go young, so Herm got what he wanted. Im sure Carl was in favor in going out and getting some veteran players, and we could have ended up being a .500 team, but Herm wanted a teenage team. Haley needs more than 6 games to prove he can coach. And yes just ask Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Bolding if they would play for Todd Haley again, they were both on the record in saying they respect and would love to play for him again, hell Fitz gave him credit for turning him to an all pro player. Im sure coach Haley would say he needs to adjust to some thing, this is all new to him, I just think to call for his head after 7 games with this roster is stupid.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the National Football League are continuing to investigate the alleged comments made by Larry Johnson. Until that review is complete, the Chiefs have instructed Larry to refrain from practicing with the Chiefs or participating in other team activities. A decision regarding Larry’s status will be made once the investigation has concluded.

Jason Whitlock brought something up that I had forgotten about. We kept LJ and sent Jarod Allen off. Carl P figured that keeping the ill tempered LJ was better than keeping Allen with his driving problems. Who's got the way back machine?

I remember not being happy about that decision. It just gets worse every week. Allen would bring a lot more to the team than LJ.
