KC Chiefs - Week 1

Baltimore QB Joe Flaco had this to say when he was asked what type of challenge the Chiefs would face this week by coming into their house for week 1:

"I don’t think it’s a good way to begin it. We’re going to come in here and play well and I don’t think they’re really going to want to play us by the end of the game."

Cassel sounds like a game time decision, he has practiced for the last 3 days. I think as long as he dont have any set backs, then he will be ready to go.

Cassel really hasn't had a chance to impress anybody during preseason - bowe was relegated to 3rd team so cassel was throwing to the turds. Then Cassel gets hurt.... So I'm more in a wait and see during prime time. I would agree though it is probably not smart to start Cassel unless he's a 100%.

I think I might play thigpen instead of croyle because at least thigpen has some mobility and will might be able to maybe make something happen as he's running for his life. But if Croyle starts, he will probably only last until the first big hit and then will be out for the year.

Ravens will be a popular pick in week 1 survivor pools. I went with the Saints (at home vs. Lions) as it didn’t appear New Orleans had any sure locks left on the schedule.

I would not want to play QB for the Chefs this weekend.

Maybe they keep it close, but if it's 29-0 with 4 safeties and 3 defensive touchdowns by the Ravens, it won't surprise me.
