  • The Dillons on west 21st is going to have an hispanic theme

I personally don't like it because it takes away from the mom and pops stores business' a bit but anyway most of the comments in the article are pretty disturbing in my opinion and moose, I agree with you.

prepare for attack in 5.4.3.2.1 -

I dont see the big deal. I dont think they should have closed the Dillons next to north high which to be honest would make more sense to do something like this.

HP - mom and pop stores wont die. Yeah they may slow but people *even though they dont* should recognize the real and go there. I know I do

I don't see anything wrong with this at all. Kroger is marketing their products towards a portion of their clientele that they consider to be valuable. If this bothers people, then they seriously need to get a life. It's a private business who is making their own decisions on what they want to do.

Interesting concept. I agree completely. This seems like a total non issue to me and I am not sure who, if anyone, is really upset about it.

A private business making their own decisions on what they want to do....such a novel idea.

If you don't like it, don't shop there. Hmm...another novel idea.

I have been in the store many times since it moved from 13th and Waco. It already has an emphasis on more Mexican foods than most Dillons. They still have everything else. I suppose this new deal is with respect to decor. It may or may not hurt all the smaller stores in the area.

Once the Obama-Food Plan is enacted immediately after the Obama-Care Plan, that profit-mongering Dillons will get their just desserts!! Pun intended. How dare they cater to their customers! There oughta be a law...

since its been closed whats happened there? That would be a great place to give North High its own Football field (of course if the money was available) But at the very least more parking for North High then. right?

There was talk of North buying the building. But the building just sits empty as far as I can tell.

ISASO - I am not sure how you can turn this discussion into another chance to bash President Obama.

I thought it was pretty funny. Obama doesn't seem to be a big fan of private business making a profit by doing things their own way.
