  • It's a party in crisis - lagging in the polls, it is out ...

Originally posted by Bradley A. Smith, Professor, election law and campaign finance

It's a party in crisis - lagging in the polls, it is out of ideas, its congressional leadership is highly unpopular, its policies failing, and a huge portion of its base consists of irreconcilable extremists. I'm, talking, of course, about the Democrats.

Just a normal Mavericky mom from Alaska who can see Russia from her house and reads every single newspaper

Speaker of the House (3rd in line for the Presidency)

I would love for someone to tell me about the brilliance of this woman who actually holds power in Washington.

Why does Palin bother so many liberals?

She cleaned up Republican corruption in Alaska, I thought Democrats championed Ethics and Transparency...

Personally can't stand either party. Pelosi needs to lay off the face lifts (she can never stop smiling). Palin just doesn't seem very intelligent to me, not saying she isn't but the way she talks about issues doesn't make her seem smart. My main fear about Palin is that she will surround herself by big oil and other people who have ties with those sort of companies and will hold the country back. Seriously, we need a progressive President who is smart. Someone like Bill Clinton.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Palin myself, but the above statement shows you know absolutely nothing about her.

But hey... by all means, don't let me get in the way of you using typical emotion>reason democratic rationalization.

PBO is very closely surrounded by parties and entities so far left they'd make Bill Clinton blush, but I'm guessing that didn't sway you away from voting for him, did it?

No you don't understand what I was trying to say. Palin, IMO which may not be right, is at the will of the RNC. I am sure you are very aware of the RNC's ties to Big Oil. Palin might not be a big oil fan herself but she will, if elected, do whatever the RNC tells her to do.

Couldn't vote. Didn't turn 18 till February of this year. I would have voted for Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party. I would have had to say I voted and I didn't like either candidate so I would have voted for him.

These are two wholly unrelated statements. So no, I guess you could say I didn't 'get' that when you posted the first, you really meant the second.
