  • Sarah Palin is a Flip-Flopper

I wonder if she made up her mind for reals this time.

I'm not surprised, I expect her to try to run for president. She has to keep her name out there and it will probably only get worse the closer the next election comes.

With that said, I really wish she would disappear.

The Republican party has a serious leadership vacuum going on where some patently unqualified folks are leading the way right now.

Here's Palin, a woman wholly ill equipped to do anything but recite the party rhetoric over and over again. After the campaign, it was revealed that she didn't know what three nations made up NAFTA, she didn't know Africa was a continent, and she often threw temper tantrums. Not that anyone was surprised by this.

Then there's Rush. A man who uses AM radio to prey on the ignorance of his followers. A guy who flunked out of Southeast Missouri State. A guy who uses nothing but hate to push his agenda. Sad.

Lastly, Dick Cheney. Probably the most reviled member of the former administration. I suppose he's sticking around to remind us all of what we hated.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

I totally agree and I created 150,000 jobs today! Or saved 150,000 jobs...I can't remember.

If she even sniffs anywhere close to the White House...watch out America!

The fact that we're talking Rush, Cheney and Palin spells trouble for the Republican party. They better pull their heads out real soon and find a competent leader under one voice. Let's face it if Palin looked like Hillary then we wouldn't even know her name. Someone needs to pull her to the side and tell her she had her shot and 15 minutes of fame.

The Republican party won't be seen for a minimum of 8 years...I pray that Palin is the one running against Obama in 4 years.

I think these re-treads should find better things to do with their time also.

If I had any influence with the Republican Party, I'd like to see former Senator Fred Thompson assume the role of spokesperson. Even if he's not a legitimate presidential candidate for 2012, I would think he could excite the party, and possibly unite the voters.

I don't expect Palin to be the GOP's selection. VP maybe. What I do expect is one of conservative GOP reps or governors (not named Palin) that are getting a lot of pub will rise to the top and get the nomination.

There are a number of conservatives getting pub right now. Most of them Govs. Sanford, Pawlenty, Jindal and Barbour have had a lot of talk lately. Obviously I don't know a ton about any of them but it's nice to have a number of names from those who are actually considered conservative. Time will tell if they truly are. Huckabee and Gingrich have also had their names thrown around.

I would hope to God they don't select Palin. However it only seems that it was a couple of days ago that several of our Conservative crazies on this very site were singing her praises at the second coming of Christ.

I suppose I am one of the “Conservative crazies” you reference.

By and large the criticism of Palin, as evidenced by this thread, continues to be petty, insignificant and irrelevant. However, the Left’s continued obsession with the Alaskan Governor is, sort of, amusing.

Maggie - It certainly doesn't appear that the criticism aimed at Palin is reserved from the left. I'm a staunch Republican and something about her doesn't inspire confidence, which is half the battle in winning an election. Fair or not, delivery does count for something. Although I didn't support him in the last election I could get behind the quiet confidence displayed by Mike Huckaby.
