Royals in May

Davies had a pretty good outing. 6 innings 3 hits and 2 runs and 8 Ks. But the Royals couldn't get anyone across the plate. They could have but apparently Teahen's double crossed over the wall on it's way into left field and prevented Crisp from scoring easily.

Looks like KC is about to lose again. 3-0 in the bottom of the 8th and Ramirez is pitching which means Hillman has given up on the game. Ramirez did give up a HR in the 7th and is about to give up a few more with runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs.

Which brings me to my next question... Why the hell is Ramirez still on the team? I don't think he's done anything positive since being signed and has cost the Royals games and in tonights case takes away any chance of KC coming back. Ramirez absolutely sucks. I'd rather have Farnsworth pitch.

Too bad nobody in Omaha or NSEW Arkansas is doing anything worthy of being called up. I can only pray that Bale recovers well and starts pitching to the point that KC can bring him up and get rid of Ramirez. Hell, when Soria gets back I'd be all for ditching Ramirez then.

At this point I'd be in favor of letting Fever pitch out of the pen over Ramirez... :banghead:

Another disapointing performance yesterday. KC has made some roster moves recently...

They've optioned Hochevar back to Omaha, Aviles and Tejada head to the DL. Bale and Colon recalled.

And another boneheaded defensive play nearly cost 'em today. I don't know what Coco was thinking. The last two weeks it seems as if the D forgot how to do their job sometimes. I believe they've had nearly as many errors as games played and that doesn't count the plays like Coco's today.

It was nice to see Bale come in and do his job well. I really like him in the pen and if he can get back to his old form he'll be very valuable there.

Greinke wasn't that bad in his last start. Not quite as good as his previous outings but with any offense he would have won again.

I'm starting to wonder about Gils back. He's been struggling lately and I have to think it's effecting him. And if it is they're going to have to move Ponson back to the lineup.

Mitch Maier comes up big after replacing Coco in the top of the inning to plate two! I didn't realize Mitch was hitting .314 before that. I really like this guy.

The way Zack is pitching it could be enough. I'm not sure what his pitch count is though. So it may very well come down to the pen.

Anybody else see the stat they showed on Zack? It said something like opponents are hitting .250 against him their first time through the lineup, .227 the second time through and .127 the third time through!

KC isn't done. Callaspo scored last inning and then Guillen crushed his 4th of the season to lead off the 8th. Jake then doubled on the very next pitch to left. Then Teahen get IBB.

Zack is at 101 through 8 with 7Ks. His ERA has gone up to .85
