Hillman pinch-ran for Guillen and Butler, probably thinking this was our chance to take the lead. Now we get Maier instead of Guillen coming up with 2-out and Crisp on 3rd.
We had practice until late last night and I didnt get home until about the 7th.
Glad I made home in time. Im freakin exhausted today though.
This team does have some fight in them. The chemistry seems to be good. Im weary of Hillman and his decisions half the time.
Like Royal said its a tough call to take Guillen and Butler out. If it was the 8th yeah do it no problem but the 7th? Hes really lucky Buck came through.
Butler is starting to look like the player he was projected to be. His work on the field has been stellar.
I demand we extend Coco's contract.
And now on to Alex Gordon. When he comes back give him a month or so in Omaha. Let him get some confidence playing in front of him home university fans. *grape kick* Then let him come up and mash
When was the last time the Royals were 5 games above .500? I'm having a hard time even remembering a winning record.
These guys have alot of fight in them. They're just blue collar guys out there doing their jobs night in and night out. I hope that the fans keep coming out, because this team seems to feed off of their energy.
Doesn't matter. This town knows that the Royals have dissapointed since 1993. There aren't high expectations. The city is living in the moment. Nothing wrong with that. I don't think anybody would be shocked to find they go on to lose 15 straight, and end up in the basement.

I heard Sutcliffe say the other day that he was talking to LaRussa, and LaRussa told him that Hillman could out-manage anybody. We haven't seen that yet. I would offer that Hillman's been put in some tough positions already, and he's won some and lost some. It would be nice to see him manage through some of these situations with a little more success.
