Do we have Ponson, Banny, Meche this weekend? Hopefully the bats show up and give Sir Sid some support.

Yup, Sid has been ok, we just havent given him any run support in his starts. Hopefully maybe our bats have finally waken up

It could be rough tonight with Ponson pitching. The bats need to stay alive to have a better chance of winning.

When is Aviles going to start hitting again?

He's not. He's Angel Berroa, pt. deux.

Ok, I'm not sure I'm serious, but the parallels are eerily similar.

Watching Aviles last year I really felt like he had better plate discipline (laying off those down-and-away sliders) and just plain looked better at the plate.

But IMO he's not looking good this year. Walking rarely and striking out frequently. He and Olivo have been major drains on the offense. I hope he turns it around and am cautiously optimistic that he will. But until he does, the Berroa comparison is obvious.

I'm curious to see April grade cards from some of the best Royal fans around.

                  Meche i believe is questionable.

Can you ever ask a question here without sounding like a troll?

                    Non-relative to expectations
                    Starting Pitching: A
                    Relief Pitching: B-

                    Mangerial: C

Collaspo has been the biggest surprise so far IMO, and Avilies is the biggest dissapointment

Royal has a good report card. I was worried about our 4 and 5 pitchers but Ponson has been solid and now with Banny up I feel real good. I do think our top 3 can compete with anyone.

As far as the pen goes it's been pretty good. I never expected much from Farnsworth. Mahay has been a little disappointing so far. Everyone else has been pretty darn good. I'll like the pen more when Waechter returns. I think Bale could add something down the road if he gets things worked out.

Hitting has been a little disappointing but I'm ready to wait on the youth a little bit. Butler hasn't had the AVG I'd like but he has been getting walked which shows he's got an understanding up there. Gordon has been frustrating. But I think they're starting to come around. Not sure what happened to Aviles though...

Hillman has made some questionable calls but I'm hoping to see him grow more as a manager.

I do think Seitzer was a GREAT addition to the staff.

Actually Royal, my question from beginning to end was sincere.

Thanks for the responses. The boys in blue are starting to heat up.

If figured the intent was sincere. But you have to admit that considering your reputation on the Royals topics here, ending the question with "best Royals fans around" is rather trollish.

Add in Billys play at first. He's been :good: minus his hitting which has hopefully taken a turn
