Ponson actually pitched pretty well. The D behind him killed him. Callaspo not taking the play at 2nd led to at least one run. Jacobs not making the play shortly after that led to two and would have gotten them out of the inning and not allowing the Yanks to score. I can't remember if Aviles' missed play led to a run or not. None of those were considered errors but they hurt Ponson.
Obviously our hitters need to be more productive. But with the ever expanding strike zone but the man behind the plate when NYY was pitching didn't help them up there. I swear Ponson's strike zone was about half the size.
All in all I can't be too disapointed with Sir Sidney. I'm still not thrilled with him being our number 4 but he did what he needed to do yesterday to give KC a shot.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
