Having said that, I actually agree that if it were Bush, more would have been made of it. It was a dumb thing to do, but politicians excel at saying dumb things.

I'm happy as long as he doesn't lie to us to get us into another war. Two wars at a time is enough.
Or lie to us in order to get the mass uneducated dunces in this country engaged in class warfare so that he can advance his administrations agenda of socialist policies that destroy wealth, liberty and the fabric of our country so that a few elitists in Washington can usurp power not granted by the constitution of the United States.

As long as he doesn't do that. I'll be happy also.

Haha. I love how you can determine a "lie" based on 3 months of work which has supplied 0 evidence of mistruths or the intentional misleading of a populous to meet a predetermined directive.

You know, unlike the GOP which gave us ample proof of the same.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Honestly, I think it's just that the Obama supporters are just getting tired of Obama bashers making mountains out of every little mole hill, ant hill, whatever you want to call it. Several on this board have been quoted as saying they don't care what Obama does they hope he fails. I think we know where the First graders are here. If you're going to continue to cry like babies "I'm taking my ball and going home", then people like me are going to continue to repeat the same stupid **** about one of our worst presidents in history....Bush....Obama's been in office for a whole 3 months and all we continue to have is crying from Republicans. Give it a rest, you still lost. And if there was another election tomorrow, you would lose again.

Marty, Dems crying about Republicans/Conservatives is laughable considering the 8 years of whining that came from the left. The 2000 election was still being talked about this past summer.

We've had 3 months of bad ideas and policy so of course those who disagree on here are going to talk about it. The same way many of us did when we disagreed with Bush on policy. I'm glad it only took the Dems 8 years to get over Gore. At least most of us are talking about issues with facts instead of crazy conspiracies. You had 8 years to complain about whatever you wanted. Many of us complained during that time too.

Simply put many of us will not agree on much of what Obama wants to do. And for obvious reasons that have nothing to do with part affiliation. Americans should discuss what's going on and stand up for what they believe in. Sitting silently and doing absolutely nothings gets you nowhere. Sadly, the power of the people isn't near what it used to be with all the corruption on both sides of the political spectrum but it doesn't mean progress can't be made.

This thread has little to do with anything. It was only really mentioned to say that the media would have been all over Bush had he said this. And I agree with that thought. I also agree that it's not that big a deal and was just a stupid comment. But I also agree that PBO needs to stop campaigning and start working with the Congress to lead this country out of our current problems. But they should do that with out spending us into oblivion which seems to be the current plan. If you can make sense of that please explain it to me and the rest of us that think this economic plan is a piece of ****.

Actually, you'd have to get all the uniformed, stupid derelicts to actually vote again which would mean widespread campaigning......which I guess is still going on so you may be right.

Everybody knows the more (stupid) people vote the better chance the Democrats have of winning. If only smart people voted, Republicans would win in a landslide. Feel free to spin that however you want.

Therein lies the reason you should have to pass a test to vote. Most people are idiots.

I believe most (and by most I mean 99%+) of Republicans want the country to succeed. I want the country to succeed. I will never consider success a socialist government. You can have socialist policies in a capitalist society....we already have a bunch. True conservatives aren't interested in a bunch more.

Maybe you ignored the previous 8 years Marty but I can promise you the left never "got over" losing in '00 or '04. As of today we still live in a democracy and the voice of the minority will be spoken. You get to choose whether we are heard or not.

The left shouted from every rooftop they could for 8 years. I'll be damned if I'm going to be quiet while my great grandchildren are put into debt by a group of people with no grasp of a free economic system.

There isn't 1 in 100 business owners that will tell you the way to fix a problem is by throwing a bunch of money at it....and that's before the loaded social agenda attached.

Our leaders are FAILING us when it comes to fixing the problems.

Example: Remember when we tried to address social security? At least one guy had the guts to say what the problem was and offer a solution. Of course he was laughed at and the issue died.

Now you don't hear a peep about it. Tell me, how is the problem better today?

No offense but it is an attitude like yours that is indicative of what is wrong with the political debate or lack thereof in this country.

Most of the criticism of President Obama, to date, I would not categorize as trivial – his poor attempt at a joke on Leno and this particular thread, notwithstanding. He is, in my judgment, attempting to push through an agenda that could turn out to be a real shift in the way our country runs. Furthermore, I find most of his foreign policy endeavors to be grossly naive or down right hypocritical (based upon his verbal rhetoric).

Why can’t I, or anyone else for that matter, question his chosen course of action domestically and internationally? Why can’t I ask whether or not his actual agenda (as indicated by his actions not words) is what the country thought it was getting when President Obama won the election? Perhaps more importantly, why can’t you or people like you come up with a better argument than “We Won” or “President Bush was terrible”? President Obama's victory, at least in the general election, was not all that surprising – and I certainly don’t think it quite represented the political shift you seem to think it did.

Frankly, based upon what you just wrote – you and a lot of President Obama’s supporters, are actually, knowingly or not, doing the very thing you accuse those critical of President Obama of doing – except you don’t “take the ball and go home” – you just “hold on to the ball and don’t let anyone else play”. You won after all -- dissent is so last year.

Republicans and Democrats both need to "get over" all of their built up hostilities...this is OUR country. Every President in office has had some "bad" ideas and some "good" ideas.

It is way past time for both sides to stop their pissing and moaning and each do "their part" to better OUR country.

Being continuously negative on anyones part (hmmm...a couple of our posters were very good at being negative about our basketball team this season) does NOT do any good.

Going from a recession to a depression is partially the result of negative thinking and panick. "The sky is falling!" If we all believe that, it will indeed fall. If one guy keeps doing business, he will keep others employed also...if he pulls the plug....
