Hudson Hangs it Up This is a bit sad. I liked the guy and what he was capable of but if the arm just can't go it just can't go...

Royals round out rotation. Ponson and Ramirez will be 4 and 5. Banny optioned to Omaha. I'm a little surprised by the Ponson move considering he's not done too well in his two outings. Ramirez doesn't surprise me at all.

I was sad to hear the Hudson news as well.

The offense this spring has been nothing short of amazing. Lead the AL in homeruns and are 2nd or near the top in a bunch of other categories like RBIs, BA, OBP (yes, OBP) and SLG.

Ironically, it is the pitching that is struggling, particularly Meche and Greinke (Ponson and HoRam is expected).

I expect that once the season starts, we'll see pitching improve across the board (most teams) and the offense settle down. I think the air in Surprise is aiding our homerun numbers some.

Nevertheless, I'm encouraged by:

- Teahen's power surge
- Crisp's OBP
- Butler and Gordon hitting reasonably well
- Aviles appearing to continue his success last year
- Jacobs being pretty much what we expected
- Solid depth on the bench (hopefully)

Concerned by:

- Greinke's goofy spring outings. (He's like a box of chocolates)
- Infield defense
- Guillen's typically slow start
- Ponson/HoRam (can Meche, Greinke and Davies be consistent in April and not dig us a hole in the standings?)
