Sorry to have disappointed you, and anyone else. I was setting up a punch line, decided that it wasn't going to be funny to anyone save a couple of my closest friends who would actually even get it, then became bored and complacent and left the comment hanging which I realize MAY have made a few think there was something when there was not, which in no way was my intent. Again, my apologies.

As silly as this thread is, it is nowhere near as damaging to the state of our program as the imbeciles that continue to start threads about our coach using the program as a springboard for a "better" job.

All you would have had to do is contact Shirley by P.M. and he would have told you it was a hoax. I did this a month ago.

His sense of humor leaves a lot to be desired. The 'imbeciles' that start those threads I don't think of malicious and ill-willed states of mind with them. JJ/Shirley is the complete opposite. He probably literally wanked off to this thread nightly for 3 weeks and then climaxed this morning.

Shirley took advantage of those simple enough to not do their "homework" (like P.M. him). The simpletons that start threads about our coach leaving do unbelievable damage regardless of their intentions. If they can't comprehend the damage they do, then they need to be muzzled.. MUCH more than a Shirley.

The local media many times writes stories based on the conversations that go on in here. The second another article comes out in the Eagle discussing Marshall and his "possibilities" the damage is done. The reality is firmly constructed in everybody's mind (including Marshall's) that this job is temporary.

This is not an overreaction, it is a cancer that plagues our program and shouldn't.

It is soo obvious that JJ/Shirley is not a WSU fan, it's not even funny. I'm a negative Nancy, yes, but I don't go getting a rise out of message board posters based on a complete and utter lie. It's obvious JJ/Shirley's primo uno entertainment in life is making up things and then jerking it for 3 weeks only to make the most retarded 'point' in the world. Football may never come back, but this IS a discussion board. It's not a crime to discuss the possibilities. But this low-brand, low-major, low-class 'humor' is beyond 'ghey' and I think fulfills the need of banment.

Shirley shouldn't be banned because Shirley's rumor wasn't directly impacting a player, coach, or the program. It was a really dirty trick on a portion of the fanbase that wants to see football come back. It won't make him any friends on here but Shirley doesn't seem to need or want any Shockernet friends.

As far as banning "Marshall is leaving" posters, I would like for that to be a reality but you can't ban stupid. Stupidity is not contemptible in our society, in fact, we reward stupid with benefits and government aid.

I notified a couple people that it was a hoax a long time ago (Royal was one of them because he was playing along and probably didn't deserve to look silly). But I didn't think it was my place to ruin Shirley's hoax publicly. Especially considering he immediately divulged the lie to me upon private message.

My comment however, pertains to the past, present, and future threads on the subject. And yes, we just had a thread started for the sole purpose of inferring that our coach is a candidate for another job. All this before the coach has even had a winning season...

Turdgeon's recent departure has no doubt left quite an impact on the psyche of today's Shocker fan. Not only do we accept the fact that if GG gets good he is gone, but now we anticipate it through "our interest" in the media's attempts to portray GG as a potential candidate even when we suck. I guess the early bird gets the worm!!!1111eleven

As long as the media continues to include us in the mid-major field of "coaching farms", I will continue to "make myself look like an ass" fighting it. There are 20 to 30 schools every year that do not fill their message boards with threads about their coach leaving when the program is on a high, we should be one of those schools.

We are off to a fast start on the Inferiority Express!!111 TOOT TOOOOOT!

Actually I believe the rule is:

- Unsubstantiated rumors about players, coaches, or staff that are defamatory in nature

Which I don't believe occured.

But I believe if Royal is going to start banning people, then Shockerfever will have to be the first to go for:

- Constant or unconstructive criticism of WSU, the coaches, or players

or maybe

- Topic "hi-jacking"

So before you start demanding somebody be banned you might look at yourself in the mirror.

Find somewhere else to use others for your personal enjoyment.
