Military Death Penalty

Did anyone know that this was still used? I have no problem with it, and am actually glad to see it supposedly (i.e. it ain't happened yet) going to be carried out.

If there is a military death penalty, and a federal death penalty, why can't there just be a uniform death penalty in all of the USA?
