That true. Of course, families that claim to be "Christian" shouldn't be celebrating Hallowe'en anyway.

Saw this on the local news.

I couldn't help but laugh. The kid should have just turned the other cheek.

Some would like to dilute the event by "capturing it for Christ". Ever heard of church fall carnivals held on Halloween?

Nor Christmas by that standard .....

The date of celebration is not thought to be Jesus' actual date of birth, and may have been chosen to coincide with ancient Roman solar festivals that were held on December 25.

The parent's should have known that this costume would be controversial. Common sense people, of all the ideas to come up with these joker parents allowed this to take place. They must be attention whores.

If he would have gone as Darwin, he would have been worshipped.
"If you're going to do it, you're going to do it right," athletic director Jim Schaus said. "If we're going to put 'Wichita State' across our chest, then every team is going to matter."

The kid should have said he was a prophet of Islam. The school would have commended him.

Funny you should bring Darwin up. I stood at his grave 2 months ago. Next to him was henry Purcell. Above him was Dr David Livingstone and not far was Sir Issac Newton. He was buried with great Kings and Queens, Generals ,Poets, writers, Saints. You see, he is buried in Westminster Abbey, a Church a sacred destination and a fitting place for a great man with a great vision and mind! 8)

kc, you'll have to forgive me if I'm not swayed by the opinion of a church that allied itself with any government.
