Dozens Of Call Center Workers Walk Off Job In Protest Rather Than Read McCain Script Attacking Obama

Nina Williams, a stay-at-home mom in Lake County, Indiana, tells us that her daughter recently called her from her job at the center, upset that she had been asked to read a script attacking Obama for being "dangerously weak on crime," "coddling criminals," and for voting against "protecting children from danger."

Williams' daughter told her that up to 40 of her co-workers had refused to read the script, and had left the call center after supervisors told them that they would have to either read the call or leave, Williams says. The call center is called Americall, and it's located in Hobart, IN.

A second worker at the call center confirmed the episode, saying that "at least 30" workers had walked out after refusing to read the script.

"We were asked to read something saying [Obama and Democrats] were against protecting children from danger," this worker said. "I wouldn't do it. A lot of people left. They thought it was disgusting."

Anyways, I'm sure the call center workers will have no problem re-securing their previous employment at McDonald's or Wal-Mart. Obviously, they don't want to read a JM ad, or do anything that might benefit his campaign. They need BO in office in order for the Messiah to inflate their wage structure through gubbament supplements, without the unnecessary inconvenience of actually doing something to better themselves personally.

If someone gave me a script like that to say about a person, I wouldn't do it no matter how much I might disagree with the person. That's just the way I was brought up. As my mom and probably other mom's use to say, "If you can't say anything good about someone, don't say anything at all."

I wouldn't do very good as a politician.

I'm sure many of us would feel similarly. In my opinion a majority of our youth (under age 30, which probably make up a good portion of call-center underlings) have been taught to be overtly partisan, no matter which side they support. I suspect most of them walked out because they couldn't say such things about their candidate.

I don’t begrudge those that disagree with me – there are good arguments on both sides; however, you have demonstrated a total aversion to any sort of political discourse and, instead, seek to further your cause (if you even grasp what that is) by merely cherry picking quotes, articles, etc. that (not surprisingly) seem to support your point of view – that is, from what I can gather your point of view might be.

I have ignored you to this point but your snide comments are becoming irritating….so I am left to conclude that you lack the intellectual capacity to back up any particular argument you might see fit to defend.

I'm pretty sure that when kc was in college, and had to write a paper, he needed approximately one page of bibliography notes for every one paragraph of text.

That ratio might be light, however.
