While I have tried to stay out of the political fray on this board, other than to correct misstatements about foreign policy, I found this column to be quite an interesting perspective on "reporting" the news and not slanting it:

Nothing new…but this guy is a Democrat?
If he is so concerned about the reporting – what has he done to provide balance. Come to think of it – that was a poor choice of words reporting shouldn’t need “balance”. -
He'll just be labeled as a racist now, if anyone in the media even cares. And apparently they don't. This column is over two weeks old.

The irony is that he voted for Obama in the primaries and would vote for Obama again if he weren't afraid of the type of judges he would appoint. He plans on voting for McCain.Comment
