Regardless of your religious affiliation... this is good!!
Wow, didn't know there were 67 million Catholics in America.
"Vote Your Conscience"
Vote 2008!
"I hope all of you will go to this site and see what the Catholics have done to encourage their 67 million people to vote on Election Day. They don’t tell them how to vote but they sure do get their message across. It should be shown in every church across America ...Catholic and Protestant. It's only 3 1/2 minutes long so please take time to watch."

No, I'm not catholic... I just feel this video should be shared.
:good: :good:SFL is back!

I'll remember your dig on Wichita as I drive the 12 miles home from work in 15 minutes, while you sit in traffic at an effective rate of 20 MPH. Hopefully someday your municipality can get a grasp on sprawl's relation to street infrastructure needs. Take heart, maybe in a few years Tucson can discover this newfangled thing called an "expressway", and perhaps a few years further they could jump on this bandwagon we call a "divided highway".
(For those who have never been to Tucson, just imagine living in a large, vegetation-less rock quarry roughly the size of OKC, with no way to get around town save for surface streets and traffic lights every 300 yards. It's fantastic! We should all move there.)

Originally posted by MaggieWell……I think McCain was better last night but not strong enough for me. This debate was probably the best of the three (although that is not saying much). A couple of quick points:
(1) McCain should have pointed out that Obama’s connection to Ayers, Wright, ACORN, etc. is not about guilt by mere association. These people and this organization support a particular political philosophy which Obama, by his own actions, seems to be at the very least sympathetic to -- that is the issue – not what Ayers, for example, did when Obama was 8 years old.
(2) The aforementioned should have been tied to the whole “Joe the Plumber” discussion – that is where it is relevant.
I have some other thoughts but I have to get ready for work.
Yes.
Dead on.
Exactly.
Looking forward to after work comments.

McCain should have said "If I'm George Bush, then you are the do nothing Democrat controlled congress we have had for the last two years. Things weren't quite so bad in 2006, now were they?"Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful. John Wooden

A couple more thoughts:
I do think the whole “Joe the Plumber” theme is a pretty effective argument for McCain (he did an ok job of bringing it up during the debate); however, it may not be desposative.
The problem is Obama keeps pushing his exaggerated tax proposals in an attempt to come off as a moderate much like Clinton the first time around. Most of you would be well served to remember that Clinton, of course, decided against that promised middle class tax once in office. Notwithstanding, it is odd indeed when one of the most liberal Democrats in Washington is winning a tax cutting argument with a Republican – even if that Republican is John McCain.
And I would have brought up the prospect, if I were McCain, (possibly when they talked about cutting programs) of the Democratic Party controlling both houses of Congress and the Presidency.
Overall, I thought McCain won the debate on “points” but I thought Obama was the better debater. I guess I thought Obama was just trying to hold serve and ended up on the defensive quite a bit.
It is going to be an interesting few weeks.

I get the feeling the majority of Americans don't want to listen to John for 4 years. TV has probably given Obama the job.
Wasnt that the guy who spent time in a prisoner of war camp? 8)I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
