As my friend pointed out, started investing in stocks in '98 when the Dow was at 9,200 and now 10 years later it is at 8,750. Gotta love it.

It's times like this I hate having a majority of my portfolio in a 401(k). At least I kept a decent amount of cash in the bank.

now is a great time to buy... i figure that dow could fall to near 8000...word is that there are some credit swaps that are due tomorrow and the insurance companies aren't going to be able to cover the shortage...expect a wild ride on friday....possibly wilder than today, and hopefully to the upside.
