  • I just want to say, thank you guys for the advice about my

college future. a great help you all have been.

To the topic at hand: is there anyone interested in a balanced series of topics regarding both candidates? All I see here is anti-Obama and Pro-McCain topics. I do wish that others would stand up and make topics standing up for Obama and pointing out some of McCain's flaws also. Listen, neither candidate is perfect but I do wish there was more balance on this board.

    thank you.

You will not find a lot of emotional balance in political discussion. For some reason your average citizen cannot discuss the subject without getting personal and totally losing their cool. Perhaps if they saw how Obama and McCain behave when the cameras are turned off (slapping each other on the back and telling jokes) they would be able to have a more level-headed discussion. It's very similar to how prosecuting and defense lawyers behave. They are "enemies" in the courtroom and then later go out for drinks and laughs. Your average citizen just picks up on the public presentation and then takes up arms for "their party". Meanwhile the politician sits in his plush office and plans next year's vacation while the minions fight to get him re-elected. I think your average Joe takes politics a whole helluva lot more serious than those in Washington.

BINGO you hit the nail right square on the head!

There really is no difference in the two parties, they say different things to pander to the voters emotions, but their actions are very similar and nothing gets done.
Let's hope he can hit a D-1 Curve ball!

i just want this be a more civil board for BOTH sides. not just all this name calling and bashing which seemingly reduces us to acting like 6 year old children.
