I suspect most people are just having a problem with the VP debate solidifing Gov. Palin's spot on the national political scene. If she had done poorly, she would have faded from the picture, both short and long term. She did well and positioned herself as at least the 30+ year Senators equal on that stage.

As a result, she may become a force that Democrats have to deal with long beyond this year. They know they have the potential of another Reagan on their hands, which is why the unprecedented all out effort by the Dems and the MSM to politically kill a lowly VP nominee now while they can. The final month will be interesting if for no other reason than watching her haters try to peal off the coating of teflon she is starting to acquire. If they fail to destroy her now, they likely never will.

All my humble opinion of course.

      OMG... delusional.

Turn Rush Limbaugh and Hannity off for a second so you can think on your own man...

Her depth and understanding of the issues is razor thin. Biden easily beat her on substance and competence. The only thing that Palin did was not make herself look like a total jackass like she did in the Couric interviews. She still avoided questions and looked like she was super-glued to rehearsed talking points.

Well gosh darn it, you're entitled to your opinion, of course that doesn't make it correct, only makes it yours. And who are these Rush Limbaugh and Hannity folks you seem so familiar with?

Competence....tell that to Hezbollah now that we've kicked them out of Lebanon.

That's called being a good debater.

Cold, you are the one being delusional. She clearly has a strong chance of being on the national scene for some time.

I expect Biden does have more depth on the issues, but it didn't really come across that way last night.

I'd love to have some examples where Biden showed his smarts last night. At least he didn't talk about FDR being on TV as president in 1929.

Well, Hillary was praising her today.

Plus it could go down as to one of the largest watched debates. They didn't tune in to watch Biden. I think McCain would have been better off and not tying her down with talking points. When she was off script she was much better.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with you on the competence issue, but what would you expect? He should have some depth of knowledge after spending 35 years in Washington DC.

Biden will make a fine U.S. funeral representative and now some new blood can take his senate seat. It was good exposure for her and she will be much different in 3 years.

I've always like Joe Biden though disagreeing with him frequently.

Take a look at these nuggets.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

"I mean you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and nice-looking guy. I mean that's a storybook, man."

Well, that grammar and syntax ain't exactly Senatorial, is it? "You got"????

". . . clean . . " Are you fricking kidding me??? Biden called him "clean"??

I know it goes without saying, but if any Republian said that, they would be branded for life as a racist.

Oh well, that's the world in which we live.

Usually when I wanna watch a good debate, I like to get answers to the questions I have, whether I'll like the answers or not.

Good debating involves actual debate, not rehearsed skits or premeditated thoughts. I'm sorry, but Britney Spears could make a better VP than Palin.

Listen to what your saying... It only make you look stupid. You can hate Palin all you want, but she's achieved 1000x more than Britney will ever.

The same critiscims could be layed at Biden's feet, the only difference is he's had 35 years of learning how to sound like he's saying something when he's really not.

hey Joe, 35 years experience is worthless if you have been wrong for 35 years.
                            Income re-distribution is not "fairness"
Taking money from someone who has earned it and giving it to someone who has not earned it through govt programs is not "fairness"

Oh golly gee whiz SB, do you think I was serious about Britney?

I don't hate Palin, in fact, I kinda like her for being somebody new and energetic in an election. I realize she has no experience and for having none, she did quite well. But by having no experience, it is what it is and that's why I think this job would be a bit over her head. I know since you're probably a Righty all the way kind of a guy, you were blinded by some of the obvious miscues Palin made last night. I, on the other hand, am a pure independent, with no affiliation whatsoever. And in being neutral, that's how I honestly felt.

Again, I just don't think I can vote in this election.
