Funny you don't call out Royal for cutting and pasting Ron Paul's talking points.

Biden needs to work in a job outside of politics where he doesn't have to lie for a living.

Joe Biden doesn't know the first thing about counterinsurgency doctrine and shouldn't pretend to. Very few politicians do. You have to live that to know it. Even with the surge in Iraq with a brilliant general at the helm, we had to guess right and get lucky with a couple of variables for it to work.

Talking about that sort of stuff in a vice presidential debate is way too far in the weeds for both of these two.
Because Denny Crane says so Dammit!

All candidates embellish, stretch and evade.

Biden lied without missing a beat, on Obama saying he'd meet wtih Iran's leader (he did), McCain's tax votes and stating that we spend more in a month in Iraq than the total we’ve spent in Afghanistan.

CB, you won't find Palin, at least last night, lying.

I was astonished at how well Palin did last night compared to those awful interviews with Katie Couric. It really doesn't make sense. Being on live TV during a debate should be 1000% times tougher than sitting down with Katie.

The difference is the VP debate is shown live.

Both of the other "interviews" were just specific segments of much longer interviews clipped out/edited/spliced to show the viewers what the interviewers wanted shown. What they didn't want the viewers to see was left on the cutting room floor.

What a difference having to show it all makes.

Remind me to bring my own camera if I ever do a edited interview with the media.

Funny how people get pissed at that now. But when it happens to other people you are ready to demonize them based on what was edited and shown.

Yeah, here's the liberal media's dastardly approach:

                    1. Ask her a question, which, of course, she answers perfectly, concisely and clearly with the bearing of a great statesman.
                    2. Then ask her the same question over and over again until she becomes tired and muffs it three or four times in a row.
                    3. Then cut out the first time, when she sounded competent, and only run the three or four times where she sounded stupid.

                    They're geniuses.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

They are all liars. Just hoping we are all sheep who will follow without much investigation. Sad part is most people take what is spoken as gospel.

All Palin needed to do was hold her own and just come close to a tie on this debate and she wins. I think it’s hard to argue she didn’t at least accomplish that.

That doens't explain her poor performance wtih Couric.

She should be able to name a newspaper that she reads or that she doesn't have time to read a newspaper so she listens to podcasts of the "The Economist" or whatever. She also should have been able to name a Sup Ct decision, if even not by name, that she didn't agree with. I will blame her staff for not being better prepared for that question.

                              She was ok wtih Gibson.

She didn't have a chance to because she ignored every counter and follow-up given to her.
