  • Any Ryder Cup fans out there?

I watch golf on occasion, mainly just the majors, and usually if Tiger is playing... and I'll admit I'm a diehard Ryder Cup fan. I really can't stand the snobby, dorky Euros, so I'm relishing the seldom chance we have to winning the damn thing.

So, we're up 9-7, needing 5 1/2 points to win the Cup. Can we still hold on?

    Anybody even care?

You couldn't possibly have been watching today. Both sides put on quite a show.

I kind of agree that watching a tournament without Tiger is kind of boring. The exception is the Ryder Cup. These guys are playing as a team and having to beat the Euros without the #1 player. This involves more than just a golf tournament and is fun to watch.

Watching golf with Tiger is boring. I enjoy playing the game, but watching does nothing for me.

I care. The Ryder Cup is one of my favorite events – I love match play. Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to watch much this year (although I have been keeping score).

I hope to be able to watch some of the singles today. Can they hold on to the lead? Of course, but it won’t be easy. What kills me is all these Ryder Cup “rookies” seem to be playing well – and someone like Phil Mickelson continues to make some pretty bad decisions out on the course that cost the US points. He had better win his singles match.

And the US wins their first Ryder Cup since 1999... and they do it without Tiger. Pretty incredible stuff.

I love this type of golf.

              Go USA.
