yup Bowe cost us the game. But hes young so hopefully he learns from it. The guys played their hearts out today. Brodie played a good game until he got hurt, which is why he prolly will never be this franchises QB, which is sad, because he has loads of talent, but just cant stay on the field.Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/Shox_KCfan

Brodie played a good game? Brodie sucks, plain and simple. I have not been sold on Brodie yet, and I don't think I will be. In my opinion, Huard should be starting. Bowe dissapointed me today, he is supposed to be our receiver of the future, but he can't catch an easy pass in the end zone that would have given the Chiefs a chance to tie the game. Yes, they played better than expected at times today, but for the most part the offense failed to show up. The defense was lacking too. You can't let a backup QB come in and throw like Brady throws. I hate to say it, but had Brady played the whole game, the Chiefs would have lost by at least 3 touchdowns.
On a side note, am I hallucinating, or did we not get 5 downs on our last possession? On 1st down was an incomplete pass to Bowe, 2nd down was the pass that Bowe dropped, then 3rd down was a run by LJ, then 2 more incompletions. I might have missed a first down somewhere along the line, but I don't think so.

well let's see, considering Huard led us to all 4 of our wins last year, and Croyle was what, 0-8? and 0-1 this year? sorry, but i'd say that he needs to go ahead and step up and start showing something. I understand that you think he had a good game today, but I don't consider little short passes, screen passes to be good completetions. I understand it's not his fault, our offensive coordinator needs to open up the offense for him and trust him and give him a chance. by the same token, it seems like whenever Brodie does take a shot downfield it gets picked off. So I don't know.

The only reason the game today was a 'game' is because of what happened in the first quarter.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

You know what you have in a QB after 1, maybe 2 years after they have been drafted. Croyle will probably make a workable No. 2 or 3 in the league, but it is becoming increasingly clear he's not a franchise type QB.

Shoot, if you'd told me KC would have 4 shots from the 5 to tie before the game started I'd been elated. As it was, it was disappointing to end that way, still a moral victory but I'm sure very disappointing they couldn't get it done at the end.
I think this is what we'll see from KC all year, today it was drops from Bowe, next week it will be something else. This is very young team and I think we will have to endure a lot of growing pains. But darn it he should have made that catch to tie at the end, big time players have to make those plays, hopefully he will next time.
The defense worries me, they didn't generate a lot of pass rush which game Cassell plenty of time to find the open guys. They also ran through some pretty big holes but NE does have a very good O-line so hopefully that's more indicative of the quality of their O-line versus the inferiority of our D line.
Its really disappointing to see Croyle go down, after a while you just start to wonder if he can make it through a game, let alone a season. He looked ok when he was in there, but eventually he's got to average more than 5 yards per completion. Looks like its another year of the Huard/Croyle rotation...
On the plus side I thought Charles looked very good, he just looks a step quicker than LJ. Hopefully they can keep getting him involved.
