  • "Kennedy Tugs at Hearts"

Give me a break, he is living proof that only the good die young.

Let's hope he can hit a D-1 Curve ball!

I find it funny that he went on before Obama. Everyone has been waiting to hear what she has to say and how she was going to present herself and Ted stole the show before she had a chance.

I don't like the guy and disagree with a lot of what he believes, but his presence last night was a nice sight considering his health problems. He didn't really bring anything to the table as far as a message, but the Dems love him.

Libs do love him. I find that intriguing, as Teddy is about as non-youandme as anyone in the country. He and his family scream elitism at a pitch that even the most wealthy bluebloods cannot fathom.

      To me, it's laughable.

Yes it's sad that he is in poor health, and yes he has spent most of his adult life in political service. Forgive me, however, if I save my sympathy for Mary Jo.

Is it my bias, or am I the only one that thought he sounded even worse than he looked last night? Most of his speech patterns made no sense to me....as if he was reading off the telestrator with no clue what was coming next.

One of the great tragedies, imho, is that the wrong brother was called home early so many years ago. Indeed, the Lord does work in mysterious ways.

Which one of his brothers? Wasn't Bobby the better of the bunch? I wasn't alive then and really don't know much about the Kennedys other than the political powerhouse from the NE that they are.

RR, I worded that poorly. Both Jack and Bobby, for any of their shortcomings, would have been more valuable for the country than Teddy.

Plus as far as I know they weren't responsible for killing anyone.

I thought he did give a nice eulogy of Bobby, though.

One of the things we "libs" like most about Ted Kennedy is how despite his unbelievably privileged background he still decided to spend his life working for those less fortunate. What he and his brothers did for health care, civil rights, educational opportunity, and sense of duty to country is remarkable.

To be sure, the Kennedys have and had their flaws, and I certainly don't agree with everything they've ever done. But there's something to be said for fighting not just for those like yourself, but for those who need it most.

It was funny when Ted called Obama, Barack Bin Laden.

This is a video I made of Ted Kennedy calling Barak Obama, Osama Bin Laden. Funny!!!

To be fair, let's wait until the speakers for the RNC step up to the podium before we judge either convention.
Surely, the RNC will feature an older, sickly-looking speaker, with a less than stellar character. Oh, wait, that could very well describe McCain.

                        Sorry, I don't like one-sided snow-jobs.
Independent is looking really good right now. :)

Edit, concerning my source: I ask that you look past what at first appears to be a slanted newspaper article and pay attention to what his (in some cases) former friends and colleagues have to say, and the fact that SOME have apologized for NOT speaking. Be assured I will be researching Obama the same way. I am not trying to cause trouble, but it doesn't particularly help me to decide when some don't know the meaning of the word, "debate." Don't just tell me what's wrong with the "other guy." Tell me why I should vote for yours!

I would take the character of John McCain, flawed as it may be, any day over the character of a murdering lying drunk like Ted Kennedy.

Both men ARE flawed. So it's just as well they're not running against each other, because we'd never get to the issues that really matter.
