A volcano would be a good explanation. The hydrocarbons from burning fossil fuel underneath is a little bit far fetched though, isn't it? Can't they just drill down and use technology to figure out what is down there?
Of course if they drilled, they could open up something that no one really wants too. 812 degrees will cause most things to start on fire. Get to 1200 and everything around will just ignite with no warning.Comment
