Yeah, I guess I should amend what I wrote. I don't hate ALL of the Yankees of today or yesteryear. Mantle, Gehrig, Jeter, etc....all stand-up guys as far as I can see - so good that you want to hate them, but you just can't. ;-) I also don't like certain pro teams because of their owners and how they don't care WHO plays for them as far as having character. But, I think what I most dislike is one team having a monopoly year after year. No team should be so greedy! Every long-suffering fan deserves to have their day in the sun. I don't think anyone would disagree that those lean years sure make you appreciate the really good ones. On that note...just ONCE in my lifetime, guys. I'm not getting any younger here. :(
