Maybe it's a good thing I haven't read anything about the game last night. I was at my nieces softball game and did hear that the score at one point was 7-1 or something, but wow. Thanks for the link newshock. I'll have to watch the whole thing when I get home.

I turned off the game when they put gobble in. I turned it back on 30 minutes later Gobble was still in the game and it was 18-0

I turned it off for the commercials and sure enough TPJ is in the game. I couldnt even get mad I mean hey we were getting blown out. But then I noticed he was PITCHING. Seriously though strike 3 to pudge was BEAUTIFUL.

They should have sent TPJ to the minors to work on his new position as soon as he walked off the mound. In all seriousness, he had good stuff and has absolutely no bat, it might be worth a try.

If he doesn't get the hitting thing figured out he may have some potential... He was hitting 90 and had some nice tailing action. The curve didn't suck and the arm angle could be difficult for some hitters. He may be the best fielding pitcher in the League :D

yeahs hes only had a sub par batting average but top of the league in terms of HR's and RBI's but who needs that.

Im interested in this thing with Hillman though. But what moves did did he think would be made this year to make us a contender. We have called up several key peices. The staff has been good and will only get better.

Guillen has had one great stretch in the middle of a season with mostly poor production. I realize his recent struggles may be partly due to injury, but if he really wants to win so bad, he'd sit out until he heals.

As for building toward 2009-10, that is done via deadline deals and offseason moves. We haven't even reached those points yet. What does Jose expect?

If this is what we can expect from him, it's time for DM to cut his losses, trade Guillen and his contract for whatever he can fetch, and go after another FA bat this offseason.

Injuries have hampered Jose, but the pieces are taking form for KC. We do need a good bat in the middle of the lineup. Butler and Gordon will come around but there needs to be another.

We also need to find or develop a leadoff hitter. DeJesus would be much better in the 3 hole, or somewhere he can be more productive. I had high hopes for Teahen but I'm now starting to doubt it. He's a solid defender in right and has a great arm, but his bat just hasn't come around.

All we need is an everyday SS/2B for when Grud is done. Aviles appears to be able to play one of them but he can't play both at once. If TJ could learn to hit.....
