  • NBA Finals

I am not the biggest NBA fan, but I do watch the playoffs. I am really excited to for the match up Lakers/Celtics. Anything is better than SanAntonio/Detroit, IMO.

Anyway, I am pulling for the Celtics. Hopefully they can win one or two on the road. It would be quite nice for Boston to win a title again, and Paul Pierce and KG, have earned one. Hopefully Ray Allen can step it up and help out! Can Larry Legend suit up for a game?!

    Celtics in 7

On a side note I really like Van Gundy as an announcer/color guy. Hopefully he will be around next year. If you haven't listed to him, he is pretty funny, and not afraid to say it like he sees it. Especially concerning foul calls. I say put Van Gundy and Barkley on a show together and let's see what happens.

I remember the game the celtics clinched it to go to the finals. felt so happy for Paul peirce, a guy whos been there for 10 years and had wait all this time, and now being loyal to the celtics finally paid off. I just got thoughts in my mind and thought that prolly what it would be like for Tony G, if the chiefs made the super bowl. But that prolly wont happen, but i can wish cant I

I haven't watched an entire NBA game in about 10 years. I get bored. I may watch some of the finals if there's nothing on TV and/or I'm bored playing MLB 2K8 or CoD4

Van Gundy is not all that good.

And barkley is cool because he sounds like hes drunk half the time.

More Mike Breen and Gus Johnson please.

Barkley has got to be one my fav's. He one of the very few commentators, that keeps it real. If he thinks a team sucks, then he will flat out say it. He gets to be real comical sometimes

I love it. 2K sports has done a great job the past 5-6 years in just about everything they've done. It pissed me off when the NFL gave Madden exclusive rights because the last 2K NFL game was just about on par with Madden as far as game play and what it offered. And it got bonus points because I didn't have to hear Maddens voice....ever. But I really enjoy the game. I just wish 2K could come out with a College Baseball game. That would be fun. I haven't played an EA baseball game in a couple of years though. I sometimes think they stopped trying.

Then you must have missed it when EA lost the exclusive MLB franchise and then decided to make their baseball game NCAA baseball. Man, I was hyped when I saw that in Blockbuster. Rented it, and then, setting up for my first game, I realized that Wichita State wasn't even the strongest team in the Missouri Valley (@#$!@# Creighton). I plowed ahead anyway, setting up a home game against KU, and what do I see beyond the right field fence?

                  Grain Elevators.

We got "Generic Stadium #3" with a farmland backdrop. After about half of a game, I couldn't take it any more and I yanked the game, and I haven't nor will I play an EA baseball title ever again.

Back on topic, this was the first time I've sat down to watch an NBA Finals game in 15 years, and I'm glad I did. That putback dunk that Garnett had with about a minute left to seal the game ... I'd love to see Aaron Ellis make those kinds of plays for us in the next three years.

The NBA season ended for me when the Pistons lost but I DO have a Stanley Cup win to celebrate! :yahoo:
"If you're going to do it, you're going to do it right," athletic director Jim Schaus said. "If we're going to put 'Wichita State' across our chest, then every team is going to matter."

That band-aid on Breen looked a little odd.

Game 6 was fantastic. You gotta give props to the Pens though. They sure as hell never quit fighting, but Detroit was just too much. I haven't seen a lot of Hockey the last couple years as they bounced around stations, but I really enjoyed watching the Finals.

wow pretty good game last night. I really thought pierce was done, and then he comes back and leads the charge. Hopefully every game in this series is every bit as good as this one was.

I just watched the first half, sounds like a pretty good game. I will watch the second half tonite, especially since the Celtics won! Pierce has a strained right knee, hopefully he will be able to play ok in the next game.

That band-aid on Breen looked a little odd.

His eye looked a little swollen also, I am sure he just "fell down the stairs"

Well it turns out Breen was wearing the band-aid because he had a little skin cancer removed. All of a sudden I feel a little bad about my falling down the stairs quote.

Who is Leon Powe? Wow this guy had the game of his life, really fun to watch when a bench player comes out and scores so well. Lay-up city. My favorite was the 3/4 court drive to the basket ungaurded by LA for a monster jam. What a great time to have a great game.

Kobe was Kobe, as much as I dislike the guy, he can play ball. Almost cost Boston the game, well him and a general lack of defense.

On a side note: I am really enjoying the European players style of play integrated with the pro game. Big men that can step out and shoot, gaurds that are quick with the dribble and can hit the all to forgotton short range jumper.
