I have no idea of the problems with the Valleytalk site but RoyalShock's Valleytalk site is still up at http://shockernet.yuku.com/. Can that be used Royal? No posts since 2006.

Wow! If you found that it must be a slow day! ;)
Actually, someone setup a new MVC forum when VT went down. I don't mind posting this one since they don't have a competing WSU forum. I found it as I was browsing the SIU board, so I suspect it might be run by a Saluki fan.
It's a different board format, but the forums are categorized much like VT was.

The old VT that Royal setup has our home games with CU, SIU and G Mason on there. Along with everyones predictions on how many teams the mvc would get in and who those teams might be. Interesting reading, especially in a slow part of the off season.Marge: The plant called and said that if you don't come in tomorrow, don't bother coming in Monday.
Homer: WOOHOO! Four day weekend.

Originally posted by Snapshot9I don't know, but the new administer of Valleytalk must not be profienct in coding, considering how long it has been down.
Or, since it's on a dedicated server, the server could be having serious issues, accounting for the downtime.

It's possible VT also had bandwidth issues. But I am fairly certain that it was either move to a dedicated server or continue to have issues. He then chose to start accepting donations to make the move.

MSU and internet technology doesn't mix:
- Their official site pretty much sucked for a long time. When they did embark on a redesign, it took quite awhile and the interim substitute was virtually worthless.
- "Bear Nation" (the current name of the MSU board) crashes 2-3 times a year, or so it seems, and often changes formats. I think I've had to register there 3 times this year.
- The latest VT downtime.
