I watched the game expecting a score similar to the final result - actually more lopsided. But I was convinced the Patriots would be the winners.
Alex Smith passing for 2 70+ yards TD's was not in my experience with the Chief's offense. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I didn't go to bed till 1 am last night. Was way too excited.
Everything that NEVER happens, happened last night. Patriots losing after a lead in the 4th quarter at home. Away team winning the home opener of the Super Bowl champs. Brady WAS 51-1 at home against AFC teams. Alex Smith 368 yards?! 80% completion?! Kareem Hunt broke the record for most scrimmage yards in NFL debut with 264 yards. Before last night, Alex Smith had 2 thrown TDs for 75 yards or more. He had 2 last night. I mean WHAT was going on?! I was loving every minute of it. Whew, suck it Foxboro!

Last night's game was amazing, terrific, and every other word you can this of to describe it. It'll be a night Chief fans should remember for a long time.
I just hope this isn't a classic Chiefs tale of winning the battle and losing the war; with EB going down. Berry is the heart and soul of the team, was well as their best player. You just can't replace that.
Remember, the only time the Chiefs missed the playoffs under Reid was the year EB went out during the loss to the winless Raiders; the same year they beat both Super Bowl teams (including the last curb-stomping of the Patriots)

Sorry to bring a negative tone to this thread. I was so hyped and couldn't sleep last night myself. It's just losing possibly my favorite Chief ever (a guy I wanted and called for the Chiefs to draft since his freshman year at Tennessee), for the rest of the season brought me back down to reality.
The Chiefs still have a great team with some exceptional players. Berry will still be a presence in the locker room and on the sideline. Hopefully they can rally around losing their leader and win it all for him.

All that being said, it was amazing to see all those Pats (players, coaches, and fans alike) faces and reactions to what was taking place! The Assman
