Good thing a new regime is taking over this Summer. The SGA has been poisonous these past few years.

It's not really irony anymore though; it's just the modern ideological blueprint for the American left.

Who was the young lady that spoke yesterday at the AAC announcement? Is she involved in this fiasco?

New SGA president for NEXT year, so still just a common student at this point in time. Seems some think she's the savior of the future SGA. Not a nincompoop, reportedly.

She's just one person out of a large rancid body, though.

She's the new Pres for next year. From everything I know, she's a real winner.

She was one of the few levelheaded members of the SGA this past year. The team she put together is almost assured to not have the same toxic relationship with the administration as the one this past regime had.

I was embarrassed to be a WSU alum when I saw this.

The newly voted SGA president apparently advocated for YAL during the meeting. She can't take the reins soon enough.

YAL, if I recall, was a group that emerged out of Campaign For Liberty, which is the PAC started by Ron Paul after his failed bid for the Republican nomination in 2008.

I can't remember seeing anything from YAL that specifically advocated for Libertarian candidates. Yes they champion similar Economic and Liberty principles, but it's not the Young Republicans.

These kids need remember Voltaire's tragically appropriate quote:

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.
I suggest these brats go on a patrol with a buddy (a fellow Shocker) and his ODA in the Gardiz area of eastern Afghanistan and see if they can draw some similarities and contrasts of the locals as fellow practitioners of thought police.

Not to try to defend these knuckleheads, but honestly, if you think this only the far left does this, please consider this:

And Stephen Miller is not just some knucklehead kid, either.

It might be a good idea to not make such all-encompassing categorical statements in the future. Stupidity comes in all shapes, sizes and positions of the political spectrum.

Wichita State’s student body voted and decided Paige Hungate as Student Body President for the 60th Session of the Student Government Association of Wichita State. More than 19 percent (2,601) of Wichita State’s student body voted in the election. Hungate received more than 57 percent of the vote. Hungate represents the United We Stand ticket. She...

I thought she did a nice job with her remarks at the WSU joins The American presser. Perhaps now that WSU is part of The American Conference perhaps some expectation that the SGA and student body start acting like Americans can be hoped for.
