Long time Omaha World-Herald columnist and beat writer Steve Pivovar also died early this morning. I thought he did a fair job.

Long time Omaha World-Herald columnist and beat writer Steve Pivovar also died early this morning. I thought he did a fair job.

Wow, both stories are terrible but Pivovar hits especially close to home because he was a Valley beat writer. RIP to both.

Dick Vitale sharing memories of John on Russillo and Kanell. I about teared up listening to him. I grew up a huge college football fan and spent hours watching Saunders hosting ABC's studio show on Saturdays in the fall. The universal reaction among his peers and even people who have never met him tells you what a professional he was, but more importantly, what a genuine human being he was. RIP.
