You obviously do not have many assets, or you have so much money that you re out of touch with reality. Either way, you are insane (figuratively speaking of course).

Or a PDR technician. Or a body shop owner. Or a third party insurance adjuster.

I get that it is sort of fun, in a masochistic way, to see the green wall cloud head your way and know the potential for crazy weather is bearing down on you (it is the high that storm chasers seek out), but the reality of it actually happening to you, and to stuff you've worked for is completely another thing.

One of my favorite Stephen King short stories is "Graduation Afternoon" from his book of shorts "Just After Sunset".
"Graduation Afternoon" is a seven-page short story originally published in Postscripts in March 2007, and was later included in King's own 2008 collection Just After Sunset. The story concerns Janice Gandolewski, a high-school teenager dating the wealthy Bruce Hope, as she attends his graduation party and ruminates on their class differences. All of her concerns are swept aside, however, when she sees a mushroom cloud erupt over the New York City skyline.

                        Thanks, Dan Muller.

It takes me 20 minutes to drive home. Somebody tell me when I need to leave to get my car in the garage before hailmageddon.

I've got John Higgins number on speed dial in case of damage to my roof.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

This is an extremely complicated forecast, the Storm Prediction Centers forecast discussion was the longest I have ever seen.

That being said a start time of 4-5PM is probably a safe bet.

However, two important things to notice for today. One is we have a boundary pushed south from this mornings convection in Kansas City (that's the upper red circle). This will really help to pool moisture and enhance convection in NC KS. Another is that there already appears to be agitated Cumulus on the KS/OK border. Some of the higher resolution models are not picking up on that. Will be interesting to see over the next hour or so if those can develop.

The mountains are calling, and I must go.
