    Crap
    I just reread this thread.
    I was wrong.
I was typing and remembered, it only rains east of turnpike! All the dead goldfish are in Oatville!

How did I get that backwards?
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Does anyone have plans for an arc?

              😂

I really like this plan. I am hoping that my house floats at some point. Do they make 85' pontoons?

They are called fuel bladders. Fill them with air instead of fuel and you should be good to go.

Fuel bladders? Is that anything like what I get after I go to Chipotle?

Here's what you need, a damn Aqua Dam:

All his neighbors got flooded, he stayed dry (as you can see from the pictures).

Plus it's from Lousy-anna. Cajun engineering at its finest!

Just got back to The Inn at Tallgrass from the Anchor. Wow! Car died three times and was floating once. Luckily it started back up.

I've never seen that many stalled cars on the roads here. Greenwich at the Koch compound was impassible. So was 13th where the Beech lake was overflowing the street.

North Rock even and Webb around Eastminster were flooded and cars littered the street. 29th just east of Woodlawn too was an absolute lake with good Samaritans trying to block drivers from unwittingly getting stuck.

                            What a mess!

The airport reports 8.86 inches of rain from 5am Thursday to 3am this morning.

Although not quite east of the Turnpike, where I live was well over 11 inches.

                            Average September precipitation, 3.15 inches.

Car starts fine this morning but check-engine light is now on. Oh well, if the sonofabitch gets me to the airport, that's good enough.
