I've been a Cardinal fan all my life, through the good years and the lean, and I'm thoroughly embarrassed by this idiot. I remember as a kid going to stores, meeting my heroes, and getting black and white 8x10 glossies signed by Musial, Boyer, and the such, all of which I still have.

I was not a fan of the KC Athletics. At best, they were a farm club for the Yanks and Municipal Stadium sucked.

On the other hand, with Charley O. gone, I did embrace the Royals. I was so happy when both the Cards and Royals made the WS in 1985. I thought, "I can enjoy this and not lose". Sorry, I was wrong. I was totally pissed about the bottom of the ninth in game 6. Nevertheless, they are in different leagues, and will always be a Cardinals (1st)/Royals fan.
