  • Dec 27-28 Winter Storm

Confidence growing in a significant winter storm late Sunday night into Monday morning. Too early to nail down amounts/timing but there will be heavy snow where this storm tracks.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

Let's hope this stays clear of the Wichita area. For selfish reasons of course.

Snow likely, or other forms of freezing precipitation? I saw something about a lot of ice.

It's definitely trended more towards all snow for the Wichita area. Potentially an hour or so of light sleet/freezing rain at the very beginning, but if the system keeps tracking like it seems to be, would expect all snow.

Snow depth from the GFS model - it won't be that much but shows you probably where the highest total are predicted at this moment.

            We're all gonna die!!!
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Much slower and less organized than the two or three previous runs. Will be interesting to see what tomorrow's 12z run has. Getting closer to the NAM's range.

Canadian is much further south and east as well.

The EURO still shows very much what the 12z GFS showed. Which would be a nice snowstorm.

And.... Out of nowhere, we have five plus inches of snow in Omaha. White Christmas!

                          Is that racist?

You'd think none of these ****ers ever saw snow before.

                              Major facepalm for Omaha.
