Nope, but I crapped my diapers in HLA while Smithson 2 did the same. Last season was the first season I missed not seeing a game since I was a baby. Lord had plans for me at ESU instead of WSU.

Attended WSU for three full years. Got married, finished up @ UCO in Edmond, OK as WSU would have been my first choice but I worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a station clerk at the time and could not hold a job in Wichita by one short year (3 people working at the yard office had less than one year on me). I always felt my success in life was due to the great business/accounting department at WSU. My senior year at UCO I worked 2 jobs - 60 hours a week and still got a 3.5 GPA. After the professors I had at WSU, UCO was a breeze.

My late brother went through ROTC @ WSU, graduated in 1967 with dual degrees in math and philosophy. He went on to a degree in meteorology from A&M and was a meteorologist in the Air Force for about 10 years.

Nope, but still have my acceptance letter...wanted to come there, but was still too much $$$ even with a partial ride to be in the sports medicine program there.

Nope. Fell one semester short due to personal reasons. My son graduated this past May, however.

Ever thought about seeing what it'd take to finish out that degree and get your paper? The University is really good about helping guide adult students to their degree, especially if you were just a semester away. Might even be able to finish out some classes online.

The thought occasionally crosses my mind. But in software development, experience is much, much more valuable, so it really would just be a piece of paper - and an expensive one, at that. Besides, in Computer Science I suspect the curriculum has undergone so many changes in the 23 years since I dropped out, I would need more than a full-time semester to finish up. I have much better uses for my time and money, especially being a single dad with a teenager still at home.

Not sure that isn't true of just about any practical discipline. The college degree in many cases is the entre' to actually begin your education in the real world.

I look at a college education as a foundation. Some areas of study can provide a concise, thick foundation to build on in the real world. Computer science is so expansive, the foundation has to be more broad and shallow, at least in my experience.
