      It was real.

      Unfortunately.

A girl can control her "device" from her phone.

I think this is the type of tool needing a remote camera.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Smart coffee mug: so you can light up awkwardly ugly displays in exchange for never being able to wash your mug in a dishwasher. http://www.engadget.com/2014/01/07/i...t-mug-concept/

This thing is stupid, creepy looking, and just looks inconvenient to use with ... anything: https://sen.se/store/mother/

Didn't get the article reference, but just wanted to note I saw an article that NYC is putting wifi in their trash bins, which would seem ridiculous.

Secondly, and on a totally separate note, I found this reference to the Honeywell Tuxedo Touch controller that I referenced earlier this week:
A pair of flaws in the Honeywell Tuxedo Touch smart home controller allows easy attacks on connected devices.

The password hack is so simple a grade schooler could probably do it.
