DJ just became the fields best friend with that double bogie.

Good for Jason Day...a birdie on 17 to get to within two of the lead.

Eagle for Holmes on 16 also gets him within 2 of the leader.

My hat is off to Jason Day, fighting through his vertigo, to have a chance to tie for the lead at the U.S. Open. Good for that young, courageous man.

FOX was supposed to introduce all this innovative technology that would enhance our viewing enjoyment. Where is it.

I will give them credit for showing more golf today than they did Thursday and Friday. Nothing more aggravating than watching talking heads when we should be watching golf.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Martin now +13 for theday with another bogey on the easy par 3 7th.

I have only heard Julie Inskster one time and Scott McCaron maybe three or four times today. Thank goodness we have only heard from Curt Menefee and Tom Weiskopf once.

He is praying for vertigo over night (I am kidding of course...what Day is going through is more painful to watch than what Tiger showed us this week).

As much as Menefee was tripping over his tongue I originally thought that's what Jason Day had tripped on yesterday.

Oh my! Martin tripled the 18th to finish with an 86.

That is blunt force trauma followed with a sharp stick in the eye, with a head-on collision with a train as a chaser.

To put Martin's day in perspective...he dropped 68 places from where he started the day. He is a finance major out of Clemson. A basket weaving major (all basketball players that have ever played at North Carolina) could assess that he spent few hundred thousand dollars today.

I will give them credit for the advances on picking up sound and conversation from the players. Other than that, this has been a total freaking disaster of three days of broadcasting.

Many of you may have missed the worst of it- had to watch the online coverage yesterday instead of the main broadcast. Tim Brando was the lead and literally must have watched Tin Cup as his only prep work for the week. Between the "let the big dog eat" and advice for "15-handicappers" every ten minutes, I wanted to puke.

Could have made a lot of money after yesterday by picking Jason Day to be in the final group on Sunday.

Just thought, what happens if he has to stop tomorrow. Could we finish with a single in the last group.
