I've had it all. I don't like it. I like guacamole, I don't like hummus. I'm not knocking all of you hummus eaters, it is a personal taste thing and people like all sorts of different things, too me, it's just disgusting. It probably doesn't help that my granola eating, bat **** crazy, liberal, Wicca, vegan, sister in law eats the stuff like it's some miracle food. Her attitude about life turns me off, and when she promotes a food like hummus, which I hated before I ever met her, I hate it even more.

So that's it. It's a sister deal!

The Raz in Hutch (before it closed) had pretty good hummus. I like it in small quantities. My son really likes it so we get the Sabra brand at the store when it's on sale.

Where are you getting hummus that is gritty? I have fortunately never had that experience but I could see where that would turn you off of it.

Wichita has a huge base of Mediterranean/Lebanese restaurants in Wichita. So it's only fitting that there are plenty of options around our city for great hummus. My friends and I went on a mission to determine which place has the best hummus in Wichita.

After trying 15 different places, I'm never eating hummus again for the rest of the year.

Pretty spot on EB 22. Enjoyed the read very much. Thanks for doing it. Have it at least twice a week. Get it either at College Hill or Bela Luna.

When I used to play slow pitch softball, I always got strawberries from sliding. One year, I had this strawberry that after a few days started oozing a ton of hummus. It took two weeks of bacitracin before the hummus stopped. Ruined a lot of shorts over that episode.

edit: I never cared or was interested in what hummus was, but I asked someone this morning and they informed me that it was ground up chick peas.

So basically, it is a Middle Eastern variation of grits... Not a fan of grits either.

If you can't find chick peas, you can use garbanzo beans.
