Madden predicted the exact score this year. Had the Pats down 10 in the 4th quarter too. Crazy.

I think Madden is now 9-3 in its predictions.

I thought the game was entertaining and somehow only lasted 3:30 which in this day and age is essentially a running clock.

I love Russell Wilson but it's impossible to root for Seattle or New England. I'd give the moon to trade Andy Dalton for Russell Wilson.

I thought the Brady Bunch Snickers commercial was good, the Esurance one great, the Dodge 100 year wisdom great, Invisible Mindy terrible, Mercedes tortoise and hare disappointing, the Skittles commercial uncomfortable (admittedly I don't like Skittles so I'm biased) and although not new, Pete Rose Skechers commercial is hilarious and the Tony Romo/Rex Ryan Pizza Hut was funny. As for the 2 trying to get to your heart, I thought McDonalds hit the mark and hit like a girl tried too hard and missed.

Finally, I must be the only male on the planet that just doesn't find Katy Perry all that. Just doesn't do much for me.

Like I said, didn't care for either team, but glad the Pats won. Feel bad for Russell Wilson. I like him even though some of his teammates don't think he is "black enough".

It's funny, I usually love the commercials, but didn't pay much attention this year. Didn't seem like the ones I saw were that good though.

Don't forget quite possibly the worst play call to end a game you or I will ever see.

When they went 3 wide on 2nd and goal from the 1 I told my wife "I'll be amazed if they throw it here, they're just trying to spread the defense out." I could not believe the pass, but that was one helluva play by a rookie CB, he jumped that route and made the INT. Could have easily just tipped it away but he made the catch even, just an incredible pressure play.

I've got to add this for the Chiefs fans, we were explaining to my 6 year old daughters at lunch what the super bowl was. I ended by saying "and daddy hopes the Chiefs will make it there at some point in his lifetime." Then my one daughter immediately says "and hopefully a bad team makes it so they can WIN!" Six years old and already thinking like a Chiefs fan. :)

I'm with ya Doc, you can walk down the street and find prettier women, and wouldn't take long to find one as talented. The hype machine is on full power telling everyone they should like her!

Hard to argue that point. However, that was only one-half of the equation. It also took one helluva a defensive play by a no-name, rookie out of West Alabama to complete the story. Coming into the Super Bowl NFL teams had thrown the ball 108 times from the 1-yard line this past season scoring 66 touchdowns with no interceptions. That provides some credence to what a unique play the Butler kid made.

Hearing a lot about what a crap call it was and how poor Seattle's execution of the play was. Very little about what a terrific play the Butler kid made. Jim Rome even down-playing it. Interesting look at the play just as Butler is starting to make his break:

The injury to Jeremy Lane was much more gruesome than I realized:

Definitely give credit to Butler, that was a play for the ages and not getting enough attention. I bet 9 out of 10 times its just knocked down or deflected, but he made the catch. And we all know how hard those pick plays are to defend. He just made a tremendous read and play on the ball. And to look at the picture, at that point if you asked anyone what was going to happen you'd likely say TD!!

Yikes on the injury! I noticed he immediately was looking for help but they had to get right to commercial, then I didn't ever see a replay that showed when he went down.

I'm sure that is what Russell Wilson saw and he said in the post-game he thought they had the TD when he cut it loose.

Ultimate Irony: After Doug Baldwin caught the TD pass to put Seattle up by 10 the Seahawks were looking like Super Bowl Champions. I thought it was very ironic that the Seahawks didn't do "squat" after Baldwin's TD "celebration".

Logic tells me the karma doesn't really exist but look at what happened to Seattle after Baldwin's celebration and Richard Sherman's sideline mocking of Darrelle Revis. Maybe karma really is a *****?
