  • Plane Crash Into Flight Safety Building At KICT

My thoughts and prayers go out to the aircraft occupants and those on the ground, especially the Flight Safety employees and patrons. Pray for those missing.

Just talked to my son. He hadn't gone in to work yet, but he thinks it was his building that was hit. He's talked to his boss. A lot of people made it out but there are some missing. He doesn't really know more than what's already out there.

Tower communication during event. Not especially interesting except for the pilot declaring emergency and left engine loss at about 18:15 of the track. Amazing how composed pilots can be in light of circumstances.

Sale listing for the King Air that crashed. Was in Wichita for some sort of major inspection, and was going to Mena, AR for new paint or interior work.

Pilots: I thought multi-engined ac could take off with one engine. Does it require a 2 person team to offset the loss of
power, feathering, etc? It happened to me on a commercial carrier. We didn't have a clue, except it was a little quieter.
                              Took off, circled, landed.
