seskridge, I don't disagree with your point, but where there's publicity and a camera, you will find a politician. Here's two great examples from my state who are polar opposites: Shiela Jackson Lee and Ted Cruz. I bet they'd fight over a camera.

SHOCKValue, although you are technically correct, believe it or not, if I just said 'sample size' and had it done with, someone, somewhere would call me down about small sample size vs. large sample size and what constituted said sample. For clarity (and to avoid the questioning that I anticipated), I used 'statistically valid sample', which is also a valid (though wordy) term.

      "2/3"? "population of three"?

Here are the current patients and outcomes that have been treated in the US. And like @MoValley John: said ... the "Visitor" was a dead man walking from the moment he got off the plane, but we'll count it since it helps your argument:

      Aid worker Aug. 2 Recovered
      Missionary Aug. 2 Recovered
      Doctor Sep. 5 Recovered
      Doctor Sep. 9 In treatment
      Visitor Sep. 30 Died
      NBC cameraman Oct. 6 Recovered
Hospital worker Oct. 11 In treatment
Hospital worker Oct. 15 In treatment
If another dies, we'll have lost 2 of 6, not 2 of 3.

60% of the time it works every time.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

SB Shock, yes I did at Wichita State, and it was taught by a peace-lofing muslim. Doesn't that just blow your mind, especially seeing that you seem to think they're out to destroy the world?

Oh, and for the record, I had the second highest score in that class, as well as the Production and Ops Management class I took at Washburn (in a class of 92).

Kung Wu, I know that using CDC terms regarding how the patients in Dallas are being tracked, seeing as you're not really a doctor, but you like to play one on this blog.

Patient 0 was the gentleman who came over from Africa with no symptoms and presented with symptoms in Dallas AFTER he got here. The two nurses were infected by him. Two plus one equals three.

You and your friend MoValleyJohn should read this slooooowwwly and carefully.....
This is the official Youtube channel for SDBullion.com We offer the lowest priced physical Gold, Platinum, & Silver bullion in the USA. Subscribe to our channel for new precious metals and bullion-related content.

"On Tuesday, the CDC announced that there is a confirmed case of Ebola in Dallas, Texas. We know that this individual is a male and that he traveled by air from Liberia to Texas on September 19th. At that time, he was not exhibiting any symptoms."

And as far as MoValleyJohn goes, if you're speaking for him and he REALLY did say that patient zero was ill when he got off the plane, I would not want him taking care of me, he'd probably misread my chart.

Quote me on where I have played doctor anywhere on this "blog" [bahaha].

Ahhh, so being able to cure someone that was sick before they got here is less of an achievement than being able to cure someone that has been sick and had access to the best healthcare in the world from day one?

You just don't get it. He wasn't a dead man walking because he was sick getting off the plane.

He was a dead man walking because he was the first person in America to present with Ebola -- so he was going to get misdiagnosed in an ER room that sees 100s of sick patients every single day with identical symptoms with almost 99.99% certainty. Unless he happened to walk into Emory or Nebraska Medical Center, that first patient was going to be S.O.L.

I don't understand why you respond to almost every single post with such a smart ass attitude?

Because he is absolutely getting hammered on this. He doesn't know what to do, so he keeps digging. He really should slowly step back and close the door as if he never posted. I've quit on him, nothing left to do with him but movie quotes and song lyrics.
