I agree with those who have expressed their skepticism about a sports brodcast team dominated by women, as KWCH has decided to try for some reason -- desperation, maybe, or an experiment? Do they seriously think women make up a large enough proportion of their newscast sports audience that they won't lose male viewers? Or do they think men will watch in the hope of seeing a wardrobe malfunction on the air? How many men do they think watch The View?
Having said all that, though, you have to give Dani Welniak her due when it comes to knowing something about sports, and football in particular -- check out this link:
The thing I find offputting about lots of women sportscasters is that they don't even sound like real fans. I don't think that's true of Welniak, who from all indications is intelligent and a jock in her own right, as well as a fan, at least when it comes to football.
