I know the streak can't go on forever, but I'm thinking this will prove to these guys that they can produce runs, and with their speed it can quickly end up 4-5 runs ahead after an inning. Nothing like a little boost to the confidence.

The bats were shut down today, but Jeremy Guthrie and the bullpen were up to the challenge. Royals win 2-1 to extend the win streak to 10.

Looks like a dog fight down the stretch for the 2nd WC spot.

Also, Detroit looks like poop since the break but it seems unlikely they'll completely fall apart after grabbing Price.

If their pattern of play from April to August continues, the Royals are just about to hit the top of the roller coaster hill again just prior to heading down.
